Autumn in Kempton 2012

Like a lot of the country its been an odd year weather wise, with a very dry spring followed by an awful ( if not catastrophic for early breeding birds )summer, but nature always seems to find a way to compensate and  we  have been enjoying a very colourful Autumn.

WELCOME!

Hello and welcome to my blog.
I hope to give you a taste of life in a small rural community, and once I get my act together, a few photos of what I consider to be one of the most unspoilt, beautiful
and undiscovered parts of England.

We are located not far from the Welsh Border nestling in the South Shropshire Hills, we are designated an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and have numerous listed buildings in and around Kempton.

This area is rich in both flora and fauna with many local brooks and small lakes, the surrounding countryside is one of rolling hills and green, green fields, dotted with ancient
oaks, small to medium sized mixed woodland and miles of hedgderow.A naturalists heaven!

I have been inspired to start this blog after following A Kilchoan Diary the most beautiful part of Scotland!
